Good choice for crash bars for my 23 GT

I agree. The much rather have a busted bike than knee or any other human part. As far as the bike being tough- it is, but someone on one of the 2.3s had a hard impact to the kickstand while trailering, I believe, and damaged the case. It could be the same kind of thing with attaching crashbars directly to the engine block. Just pointing out the concern, which is not to say that I won’t get some crash bars myself anyway

I was just luckier than you when I went down. I'm sorry that happened to you. I wear an air vest and it deployed (no help for knees though). Glad I did and always will from here on out. If I had to choose between crash bars and an air vest (I don't) for MY own protection I would go with the air vest. Or, put another way, just get both.

Has anyone installed these, do they fit well, pic?
Fit on which bike? Fits on the GT with a little work, don't know about the R.
I did just take my bike to the dealer to have a Shift Assist installed and found that with the crash bars installed the leverage for the shift kit won't fit Apparently the lower bar mount is in the way.

Problem solved by the dealer. They heated, bent, and painted the shift lever for me so it would fit, and removed some of the metal on the crash bar so everything fit perfect. I am very impressed with the job they did. Also, love the shift kit!!!

They are very sturdy and mount strong. I don't see any weakness and I'm very happy with them.
@3D, Any chance you can please post the close up of the mounting points on the Rocket 3? Does it need to take out any parts for mounting the crash guard ?. Does it need expert installation? I am somewhat handy with tools; can take care of things like replacing the exhaust etc. Not sure how difficult this installation will be. The website does not have any installation instructions. Hence the question. Thanks !

Can you give a link for black one thk.
