TQbrown, bring it down to 32 or 34 if you are doubling up.
40 is too high, and I do not want you to say later that CT's are crap because you did not have the right pressure.
This is what happens often, ,is guys will run the wrong pressure then become Anti CT nuts and complain about it on here.

Maybe the problem people have had with motorcycle tyres on their motorcycles is that they ran the wrong pressure. That would actually explain why so many people use them - around 99.9999% of riders - and only a few have found them inferior.

Me and stb ran 34-35 psi in our tires and it was great going thru the dragon and other roads like it
