at 7080 miles went dark on the r3t 100miles on the new rear and so far loving it, Also once againrainman the guys at V&P power sportonce again came thru!!!! oh yea pictures to follow......

I was thinking Jesus f--king Chris 7000 miles per tire change! if I had that kind of money I would have bought a Harley lol..... 205/60R/16 I wanted a general that I've heard all the other darksiders are using but Wally Mart ordered a 15in. instead of a 16, so I found a douglas with not to crazy of a tread pattern. Like I said I'll post photo's soon....unfortunitly we had a house fire this week so living with the kids and dealing with the insurance company but for the record all are safe the wife the dogs the rocket... just no home right now

I know what you mean,
Here is mine with my other ride

Tq I would be watching the Douglas tire I had problems with them getting side bubble on my truck I loved the Yokohama I had my bike glad Jeff and them r doing u good

Purchased my R3S with a darkside on it. it was a General. Had to yank it off and put out some cash for a proper tire. Handling in the corners felt really bad. Bike would practically stand up without the side stand down when parked. Great launch from traffic lights, thats about it for me though. Also never felt comfortable that the sidewall was going to hold up under the weight of the Rocket. Be careful guys...

I'm scared to ask what size that tire was
After over 20k on my dark side tire my bike has never been able to stand up, and i have tried!
rode the dragon twice and some other NC, Tennessee and Arkansas roads that were not designed for the faint of heart without any problems

what was the PSI on the darkside tire you pulled off OAF?
ya gotta find the "sweet spot" for your weight and roads,
can't just put it on an figure since it's a car tire, 32 PSI should do it.
like for me and the wife,
I run 28 in mine,
she likes hers better at 30.
tq,
Glad you gave it a try, I think you'll be happy with it, most are,
I know I am, an the wife seems happy with hers.
Congrats.

Had about 35 psi in it. It is likely that I did not give it enough time and research. I replaced it within a week of ownership. It felt soooo different from what I felt a bike should feel like I figured it had to be wrong. Also, I had General tires back in the 80s and they were then considered cheap tires. I figured the guy that put that on was desperate. I purchased the bike from a guy for 5K so he could make a house payment and my logic seemed reasonable to me at the time. I may try it again after some education from this board. At the time, it felt bad and I was conserned about risking my safety over a few hundred bucks.....
