Hitch Doc supplied an awesome hitch for my camper -- Rocket 3 Roadster specific, heavy duty, and attractive.

I just scored a 2nd hand Rocket 3 one on Oz Gumtree from Adelaide South Australia for AUD$150 and $20 freight. Mine was made by Classic Industries Australia Pty Ltd. I just checked your version I think they are colluding on price part# 15990 Triumph Rocket III 2005 w/ Saddle Bags US$348! HitchDoc motorcycle trailer hitches for Harleys, Hondas, Yamaha & more motorcycle hitches

Need to wire up and fit a trailer plug now - wonder if it will pull my 10'X5' dual axle, dual chassis tipping trailer that weighs about 1000kg without a load? I might need it to carry and dismount my 'largish' Yellow Labrador 'Grub'

@HansO should chime in soon he loves his camper trailer which he has done some big miles with and has another trailer project on the way.

@bernard - Watch out Luke Skywalker the 'Dark Side' is calling.

Thats a very nice looking camper with plenty of Storage, I like but I'll stick to my Kamperoo by Cox trailers, it has a heavy duty Chassis which a lot of the lighter Campers don't, I have even towed mine behind my 4x4 into some very mild off road spots as well, when buying one make sure it does have a full length chassis as there are some other brands about that make big claims about how light thiers is but sadly for those that have bought them they start cracking underneath after only a few thousand miles, just did a dollar conversion and it works out to be almost the same as I paid nearly 10 year ago, unfortunately they are no longer made as the guy that was selling them was getting them made in batches as a special order from Cox and he has now retired

Bernard:
I was looking at campers today (online) and had not seen Time Out, until your post popped up on an unrelated search. Most I have seen were canvas or some form of denim. Yours looks like nylon (or similar). Have you used it in the rain yet?

Just curious - Do you run brakes on your trailer?

yes Electro magnetic pads against against one side of machined caravan solid disks, they can not lock up and are designed to purely retard your forward motion work of the brake light which triggers a relay to supply 12 volts to magnets not my original design but I added a few small mods to ensure they are reliable

I agree about the brakes. Having towed every from my dad's rock hauling trailer behind a 1960 Peterbilt to a 31' foot Airstream, to a flat bed car hauler (with no brakes) over the Rocky Mountains, put the brakes on the trailer. That camping trailer doesn't weigh much, bu neither does your R3T tow vehicle.

AWESOME set-up of course!
Twas ruminating in regards the possible dangers of this towing a fair load with a motor.
