Hi everyone my name is Bishop! I'm recently coming off an accident with my dream (past dream) bike a Suzuki 109R. I escaped with just a broken wrist, but decided to go bigger and better in my search for a new bike. I'm currently looking for a good used deal, but will buy new if I can't find or mod what I want. I'm hoping for a blacked out look. I'm here to learn everything about this bike that I can while healing.

sounds like you went for a trip over the bars
been there and done that it stretched all my tendons and chipped some bones i was able to turn the throttle in about a week but took me 6 months b4 i could shake a can of shaving lotion.

Luckily not over the bars. I laid it down and I think topsided

Hello Bishop. Welcome to the asylum. Are you looking for the latest iteration of the Rocket (2nd gen) or one of the earlier models? You can purchase a late model, blacked out Rocket 3 Storm (GT or R) but I doubt many would be available used. Here are pics of the Gt and R models of the Storm.

The standard model GT or R (first out in 2020, 2nd gen) can be blacked out and quite a few are available used now. These are good rides with a minimum of issues (compared to the early first gen models of the 2300cc)

With the older 1st gen, finding a Rocket 111 X model (only 500 made) comes already blacked out but these are rare, no longer made and highly sought after.

The older non X models are also discontinued but readily available (used) in the Classic, Standard, Tourer and later Roadster models and are realitively inexpensive. These can be moded but blacked out parts are getting hard to find. There is a discontinued Touring model with hard bags, shield and single headlight available but I'm not sure if this model is what you want... It comes with a lot of bling but could be blacked out also. If I was purchasing an older model, the Rockets from 2004 - 2009 had issues that were mostly resolved in 2010 with the Roadster. That's not to say they were bad but there were quite a few updates that were needed and given by Triumph. If you are getting one of the early models, make sure the previous owner had the updates done.

Perfect and thanks!! I'm thinking 2020 or earlier and would prefer 2022. I looked at the new Storm earlier this week at a local dealer. I love it, but usually I like to find a deal on a used model. Probably be harder to hide a missing 25k from the wife ;) I found a 2022 so far, but many of the others are very far from me. I trying to be patient as I can't even ride yet. Thanks again for the info
