Getting worried about reliability

Heel shifters are the best! Not sure what you guys are squawking about.

“Heel shifters matter!” T-shirts can be purchased on my website.

I'm a new 09 R3T owner and have received much help already.

I'm worried though at all the posts about clutches and tranny issues and ect....

Is the reliability on these bikes solid? I ride hard and I like to travel also.
Jeremy
I have 38,000 miles on a Rocket X bought new in Oct of 2015. Had to replace the clutch recently due to the fact that the stock clutch could not handle the upgrades.(Paul's three into one complete exhaust, Ramair, and a really good tune from Hanso) On top of the upgrades i ride it hard. Plenty of times have just flat got it from a dead stop. Other times have abused the bike while doing 70 MPH and downshifting just to get the power up to blow away the competition. My bike runs better now than when new. No tranny issues at all. A lot of problems related to the Rockets come from folks who take there bikes to dealerships. They for the most part have mechanics who no nothing about the Rocket and can screw up even a wet dream. It has become one learning curve after another with the Rocket but with the help of others on this site i have learned a lot on how to keep a Rocket running in good shape. Warp nine is a great source of info. His ego shows up ten minutes before he does but his wealth of knowledge is outstanding. Others on here will jump in the minute you post a problem. Over all really impressed with the bike. IMG_0422.JPG Never regretted buying it and riding it. Best $ucking bike I have ever Owned.:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I still don't like this idea of shifting with care. Who the h3ll buys a bike the size and power of a Rocket to ride it with a soft touch.
I F'n hate Triumph for making me realize I will eventually need to have the tranny fixed. Unless I trade it before the tranny goes t!ts up

I do not shift with care. Still have not had a problem. I guess my bike was assembled on a Wednesday vice a Monday or a Friday:roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll:

Nah just ride it normal, it’s the abuse the does damage, slamming it down through gears too hard. It’s an ankle movement not a lift and stomp hah. I’m dead positive those with the same issues I had are assembled wrong, rider error had no factor in it.

I appreciate everyone's feedback. I do ride hard but will try to take care. As it sits now I cannot shift to neutral while bike is running. I've tried to let clutch out a little and it gos to second. Shut bike off and I can get it to neutral.
