Gearbox fix required

Serious grunt goodies Good Luck with the Duck hunting, Beer and Chops Beer and Chops Mitzy
I love beer and chops.... But i am on a diet:notworthy:. Eating and drinking nothing is cheap too. I have the coin put aside but want to do some other things proir to the internal mods.

If you have to pull the head, 200hp for under 2kAus in parts....
Nev I'm investigating your offer of high proformance goodies. I'm running a raask header system with straight out 2inch muffler/outlet. Triple 4040K N s secondary s removed and a downloaded map via Hanso (seems appropriate sure there is room for improvement.) the rest is handling etc mods. I have 65,000 km averaging about 18,000 a year. I spend 95 % of my time between 2 - 4,000 RPM. Thinking of high comp Pistons to freshen up her. Not sure about the cams as I don't require more horsepower in top end. All I'm into is low /mid range grunt. What's your thoughts please. Availability and price would be appreciated. Thanks

Thanks Mike will do
My email has been down for a couple of days. Bit tricky to fix when one has to email the help desk........... Bloody Telstra fu$kwits. I did get someone in customer service on the phone, very thick asian accent, like that's helpful after 1 hour on the phone, mainly on hold, just hung up and went back to work. I'll have another go today, just in case I have another hour or two to waste.

Hey Guys . just picked up a second Rocket 3 . My original 04 has 60,000 km on it problem free and runs well. The second girl I bought cheap also 04 with a spline that pivots without engaging a gear .Last owner replaced indent spring but no joy . I am assuming it is the retaining bolts on the selector drum/shaft mentioned here on other threads . Is there specialised tools required have heard of sockets for swingarm. Also a puller for the flywheel. Has anyone any advise
O.K. LONG DELAY DUE TO LIFE IGETTING IN THE WAY h
Thanks Mate have started calling in all the favours owed and owing some to come with this project. The local Dealer quoted between 3-4000 . Am hoping to do it for 1000 all up. gasket kit plus oil/ filters puller and custom socket. Will do a photo walk thru

the sheared bolt had one tiny shiny spot in the break the rest was old fracture looked like flawed from manufacture . was only hanging together by a fraction of the bolt width. Am splitting the cases Friday , will post more photos as I go. Noticed the oil pump chain has slop might replace it. Does anyone know thw crankshaft ladder T50 torque bolts bolt size to replace them will save me time ordering them . Thanks.

Sublte, I have re-used the Main Bearing Ladder bolts three times without any problem except for breaking stuff flogging the beast !!!!!
Other then that the oil pump chain is loose on all of them so replacement is just a waste of cash.
Of course this is some work but if you bought the update kit I think your going to come out ahead in the long run. Especially getting to change the rear output bearings to the newer style. and you even get to see if the bloke drank to much ale for lunch when they assembled yours (whether the bearing on the front of the output shaft is in backwards or not :)) And of course the new second gear and other various shaft components. Since yours is a early model and they had some crank gear problems on the front.

Thanks Mate will keep the oil pump chain and re use the bolts then good to know 1st hand info. Yes I got the up grade kit as you mentioned from Andy . Will go thru the old girl slowly.
