Gearbox/clutch drama

Wasn't exactly a sweet sound she made...I was literally stuck between 3 semi's went she blew...and doing 120kmh...just grateful see only locked up temporarily then I was able to coast of the highway

I am no transmission guru but seeing carnage like that, I wonder if something by way of debris wasn't flying lose in there?

It felt like it was momentarily dropping out of gear randomly. That happened for about a week before she blew - no matter what I tried I couldn't replicate the symptoms so didn't think that it was the transmission at first..

Sounds like what happened to mine, when it locked into 2 gears at once, not good if it was.

Edit: I read previous posts, that's what happened to mine, circlip came loose and gears wandered into the neighbor's yard.

How did you fix it? I haven't got to the $$$ part of this rebuild yet but ordinarily I struggle to replace "unfatigued" parts and leave the old 'fatigued' components in place. The cost of replacing individual gears versus 2 complete clusters my help me overcome struggle though...We shall see I guess

Just so all y'all can have a visual of what Warp can probably draw in his sleep:

Top is output cluster so bottom is input. From my finger 1st 5th 4th 3rd 2nd and output helical gear to torsional damper shaft.

#97 is from output shaft (2nd/3rd)
#98 is the input shaft fork (undamaged) + the other output shaft fork (4th/5th)

All of the transmission components are sold individually....most of these sprockets are hundreds of dollars each - the 4/5th sprocket is $418 aud alone...
