Thanks all for the welcome.
Pretty scattered with the locations and a good populous from the lucky country.
Looks like a days ride between drinks if I was to go visiting. That makes it all the better.

Ideas I hear you ask???
Bikes close to how I want it except for front footpeg location.
Have a bad back which pinches nerves running to my legs, so having my legs out in front of me is near impossible for extended periods.

I'm going to make new side footpeg rails in a flame profile from Stainless steel.
I'll then make a carraige for the brake master and foot peg assembly that can be moved along thru a series of different holes in the flame rail. Same for the gear change side and also have the flames for the rear extensions for passenger pegs/exhaust mount supports.

Bikes already got Jardines and triple K&Ns fitted. Stock ECU but me thinks it's been re-programed.

Will look around the forum and see how to post pics when I have a spare hour.

Cheers.

Gday

G'day mate

Welcome From Hervey Bay. I've ridden to Wodonga a few times have a mate that lives down there. If you don't muck around (not flying)you can get to here in about 18hrs with stops. Can do Melbourne in the same time but that's flying and the fuel economy sucks. Good to see you on board and you'll find a wealth of information from many experienced rocket owner.

I finally worked out how to post pics, so here's my scoota

And the other side.

Have got saddlebags for it as well. Taken the sissybar and rack off since and put on a solo seat as well.

Nice machine cobba i notice u are running the bridgestones mate
any feedback what do you think of this tire ?

Thanks Mitch.
"Was" running the Bridgstones. Bike shop where I got it wouldn't/couldn't give me the name of the previous owner so I don't know what milage it got but,
when I got the bike the tyre looked good at a first glance. When I went to get a RWC in Victoria a day after getting it home it got knocked back because it had worn unevenly and at one point 30% in from the right edge it was down to the wear limit mark.
Good centre and sides, only that one line was worn.

I organised a new tyre thru a mate at the Harley shop and kept riding on the old tyre till they got it in. 750Ks later and that same point that was just starting onto the marker had been eaten down by another 1.5 to 2mm.
Kinda left me with the feeling that the tyre was probably only 3 or 4,000Ks old.

Front tyre is still on, but only just and will be changed before Christmas too.
Went back to what evrybody else runs. Metzler.

Would love to find out how many Ks were really done on it. Had a few people ask me that same question.

Unusual wear pattern for sure. Hard to blame the tyre though; looks like the bike's been running on an angle and the front doesn't look much like it's been on the sides at all.

I'll be looking forward to seeing the mileage out of mine (Exedra on the rear). Handling and ride is great and only has to beat 4,800km from Metz and 6,500km from an Avon. Grip in the wet is far superior.

G'day Cobba

Nice ride there bloke, tyre where well from experience and every body will tell you the same the weight and style of the bike dictates tyre were a lot especially the camber on our roads.

I think I was lucky got over 18,000ks out of the back Metzler and around 20,000 from the front but had the same wear pattern on both the right hand side.

will be trying the exedra rear next time and now have a dunlop on the front handles quite well, but stress the point enough keep your tyre pressures spot on. I run 42psi in front and rear at all times and check it every week. I have noticed the front tyre loses pressure if not ridden for a week but when riding regularly holds pressure well.

A few of the boys here will like the fact you got a red one lol.
