G'day Aussies - may need a bit of help....

I've mailed Hummingbird in OZ at above address - I already use their GPS sensors. See what they can offer.
.

I have a Hummingbird cattle dog I got from them last week with a GPS speed sensor.... they have various inclinometers, but none that are speed sensitive as well.

Silly me - that's prolly on their website anyway?????

Where you a gypsy or a tent-boxer in a previous life ??? .. I've moved around the place but you seem to have spent time just about everywhere. Good onya mate.
Born in the UK, grew up in the Hunter Valley, 10 years on the other side of the island, then to the USofA. I've been to all the states except Alaska, plus bits of Canada, Mexico, and South America. It has been a pleasant journey so far.

Had a reply from Hummingbird - They have suggested the http://hmbe.com.au/products/usb-configurable-tilt-switch - This is good as it the one I was considering. Seems they're happy to ship direct.

Only downside - another bloody bit of software that requires Windows. The plus is it'll be easy to modify tilt settings using the Warp9.9 "strap a PC to the tank" solution. Right now I'm thinking lights set at 25º - sensor activating at 15º as start values - we'll see. I'm guessing right/left will have different values - one way there's a risk of blinding oncoming traffic.

****! I like R+D.

Not done Africa yet then? Pah!. Life is (or should be) one big journey.

India is really now the one place I NEED to see.

Read Mark Shand's books. OK he is Princes Charles Brother in Law - but wasn't when he wrote the books. Personally I prefer "Queen of the Elephants" to the first book. Guess how I want to travel India!. Yes! - or a Diesel engined Curry Burner.

I would love to go to India and rent an Enfield and do the trip to the highest road in the world.

Mate of mine in the UK did it about 2 years ago.

But if I had the elephant option - I'd prefer that I think. Been on hefalumps before - very relaxing.
