Gas prices suck!!!!

There have been cases of people finding their cars empty
some low life made holes in the plastic fuel tanks & drained them.
Diesel here is close to £6 per UK gallon, thats about $9.50
Costs me £110 to fill my transit van, that gets me to work for one week
that means I work one day a week just for fuel.

...Yeah, and just think of all the filthy rich, oil fattened sheiks and corporate CEO's rolling in bullion over our increasing duress! Soon there will be no more middle class at all and you will either be decadently wealthy living in gated palaces or you will be struggling with three low paying jobs just to scrape by and avoid foreclosure. Probably working 6 or 7 days a week as in the pathetic and desperate era before unions and FDR...with no benefits, no pensions and no job security whatsoever. Glenn Beck's wet dream come true! Neo-Con paradise here we come!

"He who sows the wind may reap the whirlwind."

There's plenty of oil reserves all over the friggin planet yet to be had, kiddies, this calamity is an artificial construct to squeeze us as much as possible before the whole corrupt scenario collapses in chaos. This PETROLEUM PARTY we are all engaged in one way another will last probably another fifty years or so, plus or minus a decade or two. By then the emerging titans CHINA and INDIA, among others, will assist us in exhausting the remaining stores of fossil fuels. So enjoy those Hummers and Escalades, RV's and Boss Hoss's...for now.... I would love just a minute, however, with no gloves, in a locked chamber with any two oil tycoons...now THAT would be MY paradise:evil:

Last I checked, the US was still a free market society where we have choices. I choose to ride at whatever the cost. I remember the last time there were limits imposed on the price of fuel there were fuel shortages and rationing...anyone remember the Carter years. I do. Odd/Even license plate to get gas on odd/even days.

Now there are China and India who want the fuel as much as we do and are willing to pay. Of course you have the international speculators driving the costs, too. So, welcome to the real world...let's all hold hands and sing Kumbaya and relish in all this hope and change.

Boys, it don't matter who's in control,
we ain't, so we get screwed.
Now when I worked offshore in the late 70's-early 80's
I was a derrick hand, that meant among other things, I caught "samples" ,
and kept the mud room running.
Anyway, we'd drill 10-15-20 holes and cap em off and the company would say there wasn't any oil there.
We'd leave one pumping oil at whatever price it was back then,
to justify having a pumping station over them 10-20 holes.
Then when the price gets high enough, they bring the others back,
and they "found" "NEW" oil at the higher price.
now I said all that to say this,
We aren't ever gonna run out of oil, America has plenty.
But as long as capitalism rules, the public WILL bear, what the market will carry.
it's ALL about money boys.

THIS guy has it right. It's all about the bottom stinking line: PROFIT at any cost. Do everything on the cheap, screw over everyone you can and outsource every meaningful job to Bangladesh and China. It's all bull****, chicanery and nearly every **** scum sucking CEO is a liar and crook on a scale that dwarfs anything La Cosa Nostra ever imagined in their wettest of perverse dreams.

Presently, the OIL is there for the taking, at least until we all eventually consume it along with our more than equally petro-eager Asian brethren. It's NOT A LIMITLESS RESOURCE KIDDIES...THERE WERE ONLY SO MANY PRIMEVAL FORESTS, TRILOBITES, AND DINOSAURS OUT OF WHICH PETROLEUM DERIVES. Simple concepts everyone needs to embrace while they shut off the FOX fairy tales. The cost spikes are, by and large, artificial constructs and reactionary escalations based on who farts in Libya or what some harebrained despot threatens on the Ivory Coast, etc., etc., ad nauseum.

So far, the oil lines are, for the most part, still intact and the black gold still flows as abundantly as ever. At this moment in eternity there is no actual shortage nor have we reached peak production:rolleyes:
