Garmin quest mount

I have seen some info about the quest on the forum and would like to ask opinions about mounts.

Garmin seems to suggest that the RAM mount does not allow you to plug in earphones as the Garmin mount does but the RAM site seems to suggest that you can.

Any experiences?
