Hey everyone. Been lurking a bit and did some posting in the "performance" forum on intake/exhaust mod questions but thought I'd do a formal introduction.

I don't own an R3R yet but I can tell ya this: I looked and the Hardleys and the rice cruisers (I don't want a sport bike) and then thought, "Huh...lemme see what Triumph is doing these days". So, I go doodling around and come across the R3R. Holy mother of awesomeness Batman! That motor...oh that motor!! I did a good bit of research and trolled the forums here and it was all over. No contest. Done. ****...this bike is everything I could ever dream of wanting in a motorbike. Problem is I'm waiting on money (grrr). I'm an independent catastrophic claims adjuster and work has been slow...so getting the R3R now is not a good financial decision right now. Need to pay off my car too before getting "The Beast". But I assure you...I WILL be getting this bike. I'm so stoked I can hardly wait! Here's the build I want:

2013/2014 R3R Phantom Black
K&N triples/possible claw mod
Jardines
Secondaries removed
PC5+AT or Tune ECU (not sure which one yet)with Hanso approved maps
Possibly a mild dyno for HP/torque graphing
A host of other accessories (grips, flyscreen, pegs, panniers, etc).
Oh...and a BIG parachute brake

Then...I'll be off to hunt Harmless Dandelions.

Anyhoo...howdy from Texas (Bryan/College Station) and I look forward to conversing with you all more. Love the site and I've had some really good laughs from some of the posts along with some very helpful knowledge. You peeps are awesome. ;)

You being in the Bryan/College Station area you should cruise out to Yankees Tavern in Carlos some Sat or Sun. Lots of bikes, great burgers and cold beer...there has even been a rocket or two show up now and again ;) If you go on a Sun either wait until afternoon or plan on sitting through services...I think one of the local churches hold services in their pavilion in the AM.

Wow, this guy is as happy as a puppy with 2 peters.
And he has not jumped on the back of the beast yet.
Yes you did find gold! You get twice the bike for half the cost of a hardly.
But, let me warn you, beware this ain't your buddies cruiser.....
lest you find yourself writing an independent catastrophic claim on you. YES IT'S THAT BAD ASS:cool:

@69: Oh I'm aware of the menacing power. It's the main attraction. That motor...oh that motor! Reminds me of a docile family Doberman that will destroy the bad guys with one flick of the wrist.

@Tex: Yeah...that sounds like fun. I'll keep that in mind brutha!

Sounds like you know what you want. Can't you creat a few catastrophes that need adjusting? Once I'd decided I wanted a Rocket I managed to get it within 36 hours. No way I could sit and wait.

Thanks one and all. I've been reading a lot of the posts across the forum for the last few days. Great stories, good, laughs, and some very helpful info. R3Owners has some interesting characters for sure.

I'll be hanging around still and keeping in touch. Particularly, when I get close to getting the big scooter. And believe me, the waiting is pure hell.
