Fuel Gauge on R3T

I'll have a look but I don't remember seeing anything in there!!

Yup, it's in there - maybe a guider for when the outer case drops onto the tank? It sits in the well immediately above the filler hole for the tank - I think this is what made me wonder if it was designed to take fuel beyond the inner tank filler hole level. It just worries me that even when the lower 'hole' looks full of fuel, a steady squeeze of the filler nozzle can keep trickling more and more in, and to date, I haven't seen a puddle under the bike!!

Well, I tried it... and it didn't really work. When I rode it to work this morning (about 25 miles) it wouldn't read past 1/2 tank on the gauge, and the miles to 0 got up to 110. I am going to have to take it in and see what they can do. Thanks for the help.

Bummer.. I remember they also had a ECU load that they performed to my ECU.. Mention that to your dealer before they call Georgia.. Perhaps it was a combination between the ECU load and the reset that did it..

My fuel gauge works fine, but my speedo has never done that sweep thing.

Am I the only one without a sweeping speedo????

No, mine doesn't do the sweeping thing, and after I took it in, and they ran a check on the ECU, and loaded a new tune.... it works.... a little better. The miles to empty is fairly accurate. I guess I am just going to have to deal with it.

Miles to empty will always be accurate once it hits 0.
