Want to Buy FOUND: Wompus Rack for R3T

Just polling the forum to see if anyone has one going unused. I am toying with the idea of putting a permanent rack on my R3T for my trunk. I have it on the quick release rack, but looking at the Wompus rack. Please PM me.

Thanks to @Kerberos for the rack he posted about above. Unfortunately when it arrived it is too wide for the R3T. It is designed for the earlier Rocket 3, Classic, and Roadster 2011 - 2015 with the wider rear fender and tire. We measured the rack and my fender before I bought it so I thought I could make it work, but alas Mike at Wompus racks makes a pretty sturdy product. So I will be listing the rack. It is 14" wide by 10" on the part for the trunk and pre-drilled with 4 holes. The mounting holes have bungs to bring it in at the proper fender width for the models above.

Anyway, still looking for a rack and will list this one for sale.

I bought a rack for my R3T directly from Mike at Wompus. Great guy and it looks great. Now my trunk is positioned properly (OEM chrome rack allowed a slight angle) and I have more confidence for my passenger with a loaded trunk, especially at higher speeds.

I still have the one Wompus rack for sale designed for the R3 Roadster & Classic with the wider rear frame.

Sorry, been a busy week (preparing for moving and ramping down at work). Here’s some pictures of the rack with trunk and my bad paint job.

You can see where I modified the rack to get clearance for the pannier rack bolt below the pillion seat. Mike at Wompus said he would do the cutouts and repaint for me, but I don’t have the time for shipping back and forth and refitting, so used my Dremmel and cut out the little I needed. Only took a drafting compass, Dremmel, and a couple hours. Worked well, if I may say so. Rack is super solid and ready if I want to go to a bigger trunk. At least the trunk sits flat now and doesn’t look like it is sagging and I no longer worry about my passengers pushing back on the trunk while riding.
