For science... Have you been able to wheelie your new rocket 3?

I'm definitely not a wheelie pro, but I've tried it a few times. Not seriously weight transferring and giving the bars a yank, but giving her all it's got with clutch and throttle. All I've managed is the front tire a foot or so off the ground. That being said, I certainly skew towards the heavy side of the bathroom scale. I would imagine a light weight would have a much easier time.

I have always been a fan of keeping both wheels on the ground myself. My Hayabusa’s always pulled up on acceleration, made it fun!

I’ve wheelied mine many times. With a passenger it’s even easier

On my 14 in 2nd gear around 2500 rpm I could lift the front and ride it for a few seconds until I realized (in my mind) the bike will self destruct when it slams down. I felt like the front tire was 12" off the ground but in reality you could probably slip a dime between the front tire and the road.

There is a BIG difference how the older bikes wheelie compared to the new ones.
Just realized we were talking about the new ones. Yeah they’re a lot lower to the ground and seem a bit longer. But when there’s a will there’s a way. Having mine tuned with a couple of extras pushing me into the 170 hp range also makes a helps.

I brought mine up pretty high, about 3-4 feet off the ground and it didn’t go down smooth. Even after I throttled it. Fairing popped right off but the forks handles the drop pretty well.

I have let the front end of my 14 Roadster slam down more than a few times. What happens it jumps up so high so fast I instinctively just shut off the throttle and let it down to fast. I have ridden a few long ones on the power the whole time where it just holds at a steady throttle position. I never want it up to the balance point, its way to scary for an old geezer like me.

Yeah I won’t keep it up like the guys on dynas do. I feel ya. Getting too old to recover from a fall like a used to. Plus I’m feeling all those falls from when I was young now
