Many of the keyless enquiries I get specifically mention this issue as one of their prime movers - one just this morning even

Clearly this is of no concern to some - but for others ........

just looking at getting a bit more info about these as it is one of the things that grinds my gears with the Rocket 3 Classic (screen fitted) is jamming a gloved hand in and fishing around unsighted for a bloody keyhole, I end up leaving the key in way more than I should

another user

still saves faffing with the keys and that tight gap they deemed a good idea for the ignition area.

I have also seen posts (and indeed created extender cable for ) key-switch relocation because of same issue

I have found a clever solution for the gloves issue. I put my key in before I do anything else.

1. Key in ignition
2. Phone/GPS/MP3 on the bars
3. earbuds in the ears
4. Goggles on
5. Helmet on
6. Gloves
7. tap the starter button

Now don't get me wrong. I am deciding right now if I want the key-less kit with or without the PDM60. But that is because I think it is pretty cool, not out of necessity.

Don't get me wrong - I certainly would not be advocating that a KeyLess system should be employed because of this - just making the observation that many ultimate users have made this observation, unprompted by me and I am merely regurgitating those comments.
I certainly would not be using that as a promotional feature, regardless that it does of course make it moot.

I didn't intend to imply you are using this as a sales tactic, hell i wouldn't blame you if you did =)

Just throwing out my process for those that may not have the extra income to throw at your keyless system just yet.

I have the clear sport screen and a black flyscreen which are identical in size shape except as Warp said you can see through the clear Sports screen and it retains the original view of chrome instruments, bars etc when looking at the bike while dismounted. Both use same mounts. Previously the flyscreens have bee available in nearly every Rocket color, but most recently just black.

The Roadster screen also uses the same mounts but is a typical large screen with now discontinued lower extensions which there are many threads suggesting aftermarket/custom replacements.

I have the Roadster screen fitted at the moment (Spring just started here) and fitted some custom stainless steel lowers but also fitted a Memphis Shades lip (Hot Wings) and side screen extensions ( Side Hot Wings) from Cruiser Customizing that fitted perfectly and gave not only location options but also a clever mounting system that provides two positions so you can have the lip high or low and the side extensions narrower or wider.
