First time poster with a tyre question.

One of the things that worries me is that the correct tyre size is 250 and, knowing what UK insurers are like, I wonder if they’d invalidate your insurance in the event of an accident. I know if people who’ve had issues because the tyres on their bikes were not the oem brand, or were not the ‘heavyweight’ option

Mrtwisty,
Huge WELCOME to ya! Your handle impresses me, as I ride all over this country in search of all the elusive, primo twisties I can find.
RE: tires, my current choice for best twisty handling is B-Stone ExedraMax 240/55R16 rear and Michelin Road 6 150/70R17 run reverse. There are too many reasons for this to include here.
I don't know anything about UK insurance regs.

Well, I live in the Peak District in the UK, home of the twisty, so it fits! A regular route will take in the Via Gellia, Cat & Fiddle, and Snake Pass, so definitely twisty.

If I ever get to the UK and Europe for a ride ( Something.I have dreamed of doing all my life and number one on my bucket list) you'll be on my adviser list.
