First ride on a rocket what were your impressions

I had blown up my lowrider with 6k in performance mods for the 2nd time and sat on the R3r, being 5'8" it felt big, wide, and top heavy besides being the ugliest thing on 2 wheels (that chrome radiator blew) so I bought a Storm and thought I was in cruiser paradise, while waiting on my Storm for service or tires I asked for a test ride on an 06 R3 that just came in, I rode it found you guys who collectively told me to ignore the bikes habit of jumping out of gear, shift harder and enjoy, and I did. The R3 is the 1 bike I see myself going back to.

HEY thats funny everyone loves the Rocket they always stop and make positive comments I think the KTM is one of the ugliest bikes out there sorry looks like an insect LOL but I like it because its mechanically interesting and BUTT UGLY

That's only because you haven't figured out how to make any money off it yet,Art and I'm not here pitching it to anybody so lets not do this again. My problem with the KTM's is the orange and black is too easy to distinguish so while i'm pissing off cagers it's easier to remember, at least on my R3 the seating, saddlebags, and screen helped it blend in with all the other black cruisers out there. This superduke is getting as much attention as any of my Triumph's unfortunately police see it also and i'll be in court next month dropping a small fortune saving my license.

Wife ,Grand kid (17) and I drove down to Dallas to pick the Rocket X up and bring her home. Got down to Dallas pretty quickly for a Saturday morning. I had sat on one back in 05 when I bought a Bonneville in OKC but at the time thought it was one ugly bike. This time I was sitting on the bike I thought I could only dream about. Broke out in tears. Rode the Roadster X around the parking lot so many times the folks there were starting to think something might be wrong with me. Got her out on some back streets and drove around a bit. Told the wife go get some hamburgers for lunch and that it would be a bit before heading home. Rode around back streets for **** near three hours. Then it was time to hit the highway for home. Got up to the light and it turned green by the time I got off the on-ramp to the Highway I was already breaking the speed limit. NEVER LOOKED BACK.
