Finally found what I was looking for!

Here is a pic of one that a great friend of mine is restoring, it sat in a field for many, many years. he will be retiring from work soon and bought it as a restoration project but could not wait to work on it and he's almost finished with the restoration now. he disassembled every nut and bolt on the thing, completely went through the motor, the tins are at paint now...it is going to be beautiful.

R3inCC get your friend to check out this page on my website. Viking Exhaust : BSA

Yes 20k is not far off what they are bringing here for one in top shape. I will say I gave less than half the for it.

I see many of you like I appreciate the classic bikes still left out there. I will post a few of my bikes that are road worthy and some that are awaiting their turn for restoration.

You have some collectable bikes there Honker.
That T140 Bonneville would be one of the first 750 Bonnies out, twin throttle cables were only fitted to the first model.
From memory they had 32mm Carbs, later years dropped to 30mm.
I rode with a guy way back when, who had bought a brand new one just like that.
The '74 850 Commando Interstate is a bit tired looking ! :-(
And the Bennelli 650, I haven't seen one of those since about 197. . . 3 ?

The Norton is next inline for a restoration. A bit tired but its all there. I love bringing a tired soul back to life. When they fire up for the first time in decades its a good feeling.

That clutch adjustment is one thing that both the Rocket and the early Triples have in common. I also know re the welding together :(
My T160.

Nice trident! But, thats a newer model. I don't know the year, but it has. Short front fender and discs front and back.

I love my 75, my favorite ride of all till I got this rocket. Ive never welded the rod on the clutch, but I did replace many a clutch cable. Actually replaced it enoigh that I began carrying a spare in my side cover on the trident
