Finally found what I was looking for!

Wow Paul that's a beaut ! What year is yours ?

This is the T160 from 1975. This one is out to 1000cc's, Carrillo Rods, MegaCycle cams etc etc, goes real well.

I built all the Engine components, Stroker crank etc, I drew it all up in the Auto C.A.D. then went and machined it all.

BSA ROCKET 3 July 71 Build date, they had gone back to the Black frame by then from the Dove grey used earlier in the year. Restored this twice, first time cosmetically only, frame up second time. LOTS of $$ and time, Rode it hard, Loved it alot . Sold it after 21 years, It now lives in Blenheim NZ, long way from Sonora, Smooth and Fast.

Oh, my. Congrats!!

It would really be nice to have a new and old R3 in the garage... just because it's so satisfying to the completionist in me :p

I have been looking for one of these for a while and finally bought one. Been in storage in Arizona for 20 years all original. Should be here first of the week.
Nice looking bike, congrats on finding it. I would like to get one of these myself, but probably won't happen. It looks like someone has plated the frame, swingarm, chainguard, fork sliders, footrests and rear brake pedal. Tough to see from the photo, but the frame might be nickel. The owner has fitted aftermarket shocks. Looks to be a nice clean bike with a new exhaust system. Sssweeet!.

rjsjota. No, this is an early "Grey Frame" model, only one year came out like this I think, but all is original.
