Although I must say I'm a bit nervous about meeting you all..... I'm an acquired taste that most people choose not to acquire
Come on, who is not an acquired taste? This world is full of unique personalities, Dracul for example. He still has heart.

Either destination will be fun, im "only" 1000 miles from either, as soon as somebody has a date, my vacation time gets planned

Well I will be down in Durango the weekend of the 4th. I have seen that there is a Harley rally there the first weekend of September, so I was thinking maybe around the 24th of Sept...? The colors should be fantastic around that time and the weather still nice enough for riding.

Anyone got any other ideas on dates.....?

I would love to see the Grand Canyon. I just hate to ride across Kansas wind sucks in the morning and blows in the evening, I was riding across Kansas wind was blowing so hard it was burning my leg had to put my leg up on crash bar on my Suzuki 1500 and I was running a steady 80 and you also learn how to ride on one cheek leaning LOL

The harsh Kansas wind used to suck the air out of Honda NightHawk S intake and cause it to loose power in a crosswind ... now that's windy!

The only thing out here in Kansas to stop the wind, are fence posts and there is talk of the state putting up more fence posts, so it might not be as bad soon.....
