If you reduce the diameter does that negatively affect performance?

Well. Installed Paul's complete system about a year ago and now looking at a new clutch. Way to much fun on the low end. I can not ride a twisty turns worth a #rap. Do know how to get it and keep the front wheel down while tearing up the back tire. Of course at 38,000 miles now we have to turn a wrench or two. If you want to have some fun buy the complete three into one system. The low end torque is amazing. Just ask my clutch.
 
Are you coming to the RAA east? I hope so because I’d like to see you system.
 
Stainless would have been great living in Hawaii... the CES pipes rusted pretty much instantly, but, so did everything, including stainless bolts.

Considering how much work goes into properly welding stainless I do understand why Carpenter pipes aren’t welded, it would add significantly to the cost to find a welder to properly do the job.

Paul’s probably spot on regarding expected use. Track vs Street a track based design may well last a lifetime of track use, and be ruined very quickly on the street.
 
A lot of of stuff nowadays is made to be cost efficient. Lucky for us Uncle Sam still requires some pretty high standards for us weldars. Did not miss spell that. A welder is a machine. a weldar is the guy who operates the machine. Look it up in Webster. Just a play on words. Very true. Difference between a monkey and a craftsman.
 

Yep, I have the same problem Sonny.
I have an MTC Clutch to go it ... when I get there.
