Jeremy, as Rob says I produce a free flowing cross over to replace that stock unit.

This is the inside of that stock unit you have there.

If it is as you say and that bolt is holding the baffle in, then removing that should allow the baffle tube to come out.
BUT, you will probably find it sounds "better" with the baffle tube in place.
If you do remove it, put a photo up here and I'll give you opinion of it.

After being kind of ****ed over from the dealership and the wife pissed about my purchase, I do not have much to spend if she will let me at all, but I have to know, how much is that?

Also, if I pull baffles will that damage anything if I see how it sounds?

No damage will result, zero chance pulling baffles will damage anything. You'll quickly find that most of the old school knowledge relevant to V-Twins is totally inaccurate regarding your rocket 3, and that's a good thing! :p

What if I told you, you can add about 30 wheel horsepower to your touring for $20 and 10 minutes of time completely safely AND improve mileage at the same time?

Take me under your wing wise one.....

I am but a mere neophyte myself here. When Warp9.9, Neville Lush, Penner, TriRocketIII, Decosse, or some of the other Masters speak up... it's a good idea to listen lol.

Buwhahaha steve.

I'll be honest, I love listening to my elder's stories. The older I get the more I appreciate that people have a lot of interesting stuff to say if you're willing to listen.

There is of course a difference between actual and emotional age:p

that looks terrible. how did they think that creates a fast enough flow without creating too much back pressure?

I will see if the baffles can be removed this weekend and let you know.

I am interested in this and i have read on this a bit. I would like to read more on it. I am mechanically inclined and also technologically comfortable with it, just still makes me nervous.

Where is the best place to purchase the cable? does it need to be ordered online or do any big box stores carry them?
