i did glue a strip of exhaust wrap inside the header pipe closest to me as thats the one my leg would touch...but my new wet weather pants touched there in heavy heavy rain and melted a couple of holes ...it happens very fast due to the material.
I have found placing wet weather gear (cheap stuff) under leather chaps (good stuff) makes a big difference on both the old and new rocket. The exhaust on both bikes suck when it comes to expensive rain gear. Leather will not keep you dry but a set of cheap breathable rain gear protected by leather will.
Hi, Has anyone got a way of stopping the exhaust header pipes on the RHS burning a hole in my wet weather gear just below the knee, it has happened twice now?
Cheers

...but i love it!!!..lol...I like getting home...easing myself off the bike...feel all the wet bits touching your warm bits...pealing the wet gear off...hanging it up to dry and heading for the shower...clean clothes....warm socks...rum in hand...ahhhh!!
