Personally I think they look terrible and I wouldn’t want a Rocket sounding like that. I also don’t believe it doesn’t need a remap. Even at that slow ride it was popping. I’d be waiting.
Rest assured this particular brand of exhaust will not ne the one and only available for the R3. Others are sure to follow.
Regarding remapping, i have swapped exhausts on a few bikes, both carburetted and EFI without doing anything. In my experience it's not until you uncork the intake side (filter, airbox) that you start to feel and see on the plugs that more fuel is definetly needed.
Since i don't even have the R3 in my possession until next week i cannot of course present any bold statements about it in particular but the decel pop (again based on past bikes) is often the result of that poxy air injection more than anything else.
 
They look better than OEM, IMHO. :thumbsup:
I would never change either exhaust or intake alone without insuring a proper air-fuel mix for the engine. :thumbsdown:
