Excedra Max rear tire

ME880s are pretty good tires. Excedra Max and Cobra rears are vastly superior though. On the ME880 I could feel it flex under me when leaned over and at high throttle opening in very tight turns, almost like a spring where it would flex and spring back up. The Excedra and Cobra don't do that, they just turn and grip. Much better feeling.

I don't know how people get anything close to 10k miles on a ME880. The only things I can think of is super conservative throttle use at under 40mph, light weight riders, very smooth non-abrasive roads with cool temperatures, and not powering out of corners hard.

Just sayin' . . .
Robert,
That there is also a great explanation of what I felt with a car tire from allowing the side wall to flex!

I suspect it's a rider perception thing. Like the difference between 1080 and 4k HD, some people notice the difference, and to them the difference is huge, others don't even notice the change and for them there is no reason to go to a different tv/tire.

I know I'm super picky about how my bike runs and feels, if it's not "just right" it eats at me until I get it exactly right.

Speaking of which, got my 550cc injectors dialed in "just right" today. Did some pulls this morning and going full throttle from steady cruise @ 2400 RPM spins the rear tire just a touch, a crazy feeling from a stock motor R3. Finally I'm done screwing around with my tune, now to get it on a dyno :p

I thought you were going to a Carp?
Why then the larger injectors on a stock engine?

BTW - Several times Nels has mentioned to me being at the limits of the OEM injectors.
If you remain stock, it will be interesting to see what Nels can do with your larger injectors!

I am going carp, my damaged head is in the shop. Waiting on Triumph Dealer and Carp to figure out who's paying for the repair, it's sure as **** not me lol.

Well here it is 9 days later & you guessed it..... Another flat! I figured out it spit out one of the plugs, I guess the hole was too big (what's new?)
Looks like I'll be ordering another tire 4000 miles in

Just my "less than $0.02 worth . . .
I would consider a plug as only a temporary fix until the soonest I could get my hands on a new tire.
Just sayin' . . .

No doubt...... My temporary was just a little longer than it should have been. I knew I would need to before the Leaky stroll anyway, so now is time for sure
