Do all of the Roadsters sold in the US have the evaporative canistor installed?

Thanks

It wasn't originally purchased in California. When I asked the dealer about it, they weren't sure but they thought maybe all Roadsters are "California" compliant.

I wouldn't doubt it, isn't 2012 when all bikes have to meet the new standards? It had to happen sooner or later.

Due to the 2010 EPA requirements, it would not surprise me to see evaporative cannisters on all Roadsters, but this may still just be on CA spec models.
CA spec bikes tend to get sold all over the USA, and I have even seen other Triumph models with CA spec devices sold in Australia, which has lower emissions requirements than the EU and the USA.

Been through every part of my Roadster, no evap can on my R3R.

I think one way to tell is if you have fuel seeping out of (one) the three hoses (below in front of your rear tire) onto the ground on a (with bike in direct sun) hot day, it’s safe to say there is no evap because this it is designed to keep fuel from entering/leaking into the environment. With an evap, only one out of the three hose would be left, this would be the coolant tank over flow tube.

Bryon, pull the left side cover off if you haven't already. That's where the canister would be. If no canister, you have a great place to mount a Stebel.

tdragger, I took a Stebel horn apart and mounted it in the right side, behind the radiator and screen.

My add-on fuse box is in this location, along with the keyless Digital Guard Dawg control unit.

Yeah, the canister has a hose in and a hose out to no where. It's just a charcoal medium that stores the vapors until the bike is running again. If the canister is saturated with fuel, raw gas will still come out the tube onto the ground.
