Engine Guard Bars

Ive had mine on and off a few times now, i found the jack handy to get the bolt out but not in , to get the bolt in i stand over the front guard facing the bike , i insert a long screw driver into the bolt hole on the gear change side of the bike, while manipulating the frame/engine buy lifting and lowering with the screwdriver i put enough pressure on the bolt being inserted from the rear brake pedal side till it pops in without forcing , works a treat for me.( my bike is placed on a centre stand to start with with the rear wheel off the ground )

On my R3T the Triumph Highway pegs came installed on the bike as I had ordered them along with some other Genuine triumph dress up gear ,they were installed half way up the engine bars and set forward of the bar ,I lowered them down to just above the footboards and can rest my heel on the front of the footboard and the sole of my foot on the peg I am 6'1 and find this a comfortable position.
 
@Old Gringo I moved my straight pegs higher on the engine brs and that works for me. When I travel long distances, I move my feet from the passenger floor boards to full forward on the high mounted pegs, keeps the blood flowing...
 
These mount differently than the R3 bars but thanks for the heads up all. Pics to follow........nahh, catch up with me to see them installed.

I do this as well.
Works great for trail braking in the twisties.
