ECU not responding

Hi chaps,
Borrowed laptop from work, installed Tune ECU, I have a Lonelec cable and have installed drivers. When I plug everything in I get a box appear saying "ECU not responding, check cable connections and turn off, turn on". Done this a few times and same box appears, the little bar in bottom right of screen blinks red a few times then stops.

Any help please ?

Go to triumph.rat.net search tune ecu for dummies and a great install guide pops up. Worked for me took a bit of time but follow all the steps

Mine sometimes does that so i close the programme on laptop connect lead to bike and laptop turn on bike then open programme on laptop make sure the auto connect is ticked in the drop down box on tune ecu.

On map edit "Options tab" interface and chose USB instead of serial port. Thats what I do when it does not link up. make sure you already have a map up in Tune ECU.

Can a TuneBoy cable be used with TuneEcu as TuneBoy seems to be almost dead these days?

Getting the drivers right isn't that easy. Check this out:

i found it tricky to connect on auto but if you disconnect and go to manual connect i found it connects every time auto connect won't connect for me easy

Tried all of the above and still get ECU not responding. I think I'll leave it alone which is a shame as i wanted to derestrict it.
