Thank you for correcting me. I put my led signal mirrors at the same time and thought those were what I soldered in. Guess it was both?

The Rocket Touring kit comes with a coupler (or rather, the generic single headlight kit that works for the Touring) so you can install it without cutting into the original wiring, but apparently not the R3 dual-headlight kit. That said, it's probably better to cut off the extra H4 connectors and couplers and just wire it with some nice Posilocks anyway, this becomes a part of the bike after all.

Sorry to contradict (& certainly not to cast any aspersions on EB's kit, which is still a quality piece of kit) - but EB's kit requires cutting of the OEM harness

I have interest in one of the headlight relay kits also ?

?? I am no electric genius far from it , I installed EB PC8 kit a while ago and I did not have to cut anything from OEM harness.. I am puzzled!

The PC8 does not connect to the OEM harness. He sells 2 versions of headlight relays, one require you to cut ohh the OEM headlight connectors and splice in the relats. The other version plugs into the headlight socket and does not require cutting into the OEM harness.

PC-8 and headlight relays are two entirely different things - the only common denominator is 'Eastern Beaver'

EB does NOT offer a plug n play headlight kit for the R3 - he offers one with H4 male connector for the single headlight(Touring) kits but not for the Twin headlights.
