Perfectly normal Mate , I never stop looking at bikes and cars and sometimes buying them, currently controlling my urge to buy a Yamaha FJR1300, but I keep seeing them and ear bashing their owners about them not heard a bad word about them even U tube doesn't help with their glowing reports ,one clip showing 10.9 stock quarter miles top box and all ,might have to look at their forum sure to be some bad reports like all other forums

Just so you can get an idea of what it might look like.:)
I'm very happy with both bikes and think they complement each other well.

I've only had mine a short while; picked it up with 6k miles on it in April; has 9k miles now.
The screws have fallen out of the saddlebag locks, luckily right into my hand. Normal procedure is to put loctite on them before that happens.
One of the "Yamaha" labels came off chrome strip on my saddlebag. Normal procedure is to put a better adhesive on it before that happens.

The only thing that I've heard that sounds like a real failure is the sub frame on the back of the bike needs to be "stiffened" if you're going to put a top box on it and carry much weight around. Several of them have cracked with use. There is a kit for sale on the forums though.
