Hello Rocketeers! I just completed my side mount plate and turn signal relocation project and I wanted to share the results. I bought two inexpensive plate kits, a pair of bolts, and some black spray paint for touch-up after cutting. I pulled the small wiring harness and split the turn signal wires from the plate light wires so I could move the signals to the tail. All in about $80 but my bike already had the aftermarket mini blinkers. I'm happy to answer any questions I can. Let me know what y'all think!

Here are the links to the kits I purchased:

Can't say I agree with the turn signal solution. You can't put there a bag like this: imgur.com/a/E9Amd4j without blocking the signals. Also, it might be illegal, in some states the turn signal and the rear brake lamp should have enough distance. As the red glow from the rear brake lamp can obfuscate the turn signal. Plus, now you have holes in the fender..

Thanks for all the feedback! In my opinion, between turn signals not being required on motorcycles and integrated tailight turn signals being legal the distance thing seems mute to me. I did wrestle with making the holes, but I pulled the trigger because no matter what, I will never put them back on that giant ugly plate arm. On another note, my bike may be a GT, but it will never have any old man pack mule saddle bags on it! LOL 😆

Hello,
This is what I made, using the stock license plate bracket.
I ordered a new bracket from Triumph in the UK, it took about 6-weeks for delivery.
I cut the OEM license plate bracket and then I bent a piece of aluminum plate 1/4”
This allowed me to build this license plate bracket while I still ride.
I bought a curved license plate trim ring with LED light stripe.
I tig welded it, and dropped it off at a plating shop, and had it powder-coated to match the OEM license plate bracket,
and swing arm.
Photos attached…….

Sweet! Very sano.
No plate light required in Texas?
Yeah it's on the top where i drilled the three holes to mount it. It may not get the whole plate due to the curve, but I'll wait and see how the police react before I change anything...

The copper would have to be a real sphincter muscle to be that chicken!
