DIY Fix for Frame Rubber Tank Supports

Great idea using the mallet.

I somehow lost one of mine. I will admit that when I got the bike it only had one that had been cut in half!

Ended up buying another set from a wreaker put them on and about a month later the tab holding the tank down broke.

Turns out that there are two different types of rubber mounts and I had brought the thinner of the two.

Fixed it buy cutting up a pushbike inner tube and a couple of ziplock ties.

Yep, I had exactly the same issue !

Drop a bolt through the hole in the rubber tank support into the hole in the frame. Put a cable tie around it to stop the bolt from coming out and holding it all in place.
Or use a couple of inches of double-sided tape to hold it down.
Or make a loop of a few inches of duck tape and use it as double sided tape to hold it down.

Quite a few solutions if your neck is red enough.
