Molinoman
Living Legend
We had a good ride today...once out of Pensacola we got out on I-10 East and got off at 87 to go the next 20 miles to Navarre.
Did have a little hold up...two of our riders were low on gas at the start...thought they could make it to 87 and fill up...they were wrong...unfortunately one of them ran out of gas just as he was going across the I-10 bridge connecting Escambia and Santa Rosa counties.
Once we got that cleared up we proceeded on our ride. We got to our eating spot Johnny Huston's Grill and Bar and had a pretty good meal...meatball sub for me, fries were great....COKE ALERT....they only had Pepsi...but other than that...a great meal.
On the way back I turned the heat on for the seat and the grips...they worked great as it was getting a little nippy on the way back.
I started to get a cramp in my left hand about 5 miles from home...shook it off and got another cramp...this one in the right hand....just as I was turning onto my road to get to the house. Couldn't figure it out till I realized I was wearing summer riding gloves that were perforated everywhere except for the knuckle and finger joint protectors....guess I"ll have to find my winter gloves.
I was hoping to see Dave (Scot in Exile) as John thought he was coming and would meet us there from Fort Walton but he didn't show...would have liked to have seen him as it has been a couple of months or more (February???).
Anyway next week John is coming over to look at my Kuryakin Eclipse concave mirrors that will not fit on my Thunderbird and will see if they will fit on his Rocket.
Then we are planning on going down to the Victory dealer to test ride a few bikes...I told him we ought to take my truck as we don't want to scare them with our "men's" bikes
