Just a few photos this afternoon on my short run around the hills where I live.

Great shots. My original home (South Wingfield).
Ah, yes. Between Matlock and Alfreton.
How many years have you been living away from Derbyshire?
Do you recognise the hills in the background of my photos?........Pub quiz... Lol...

I moved to Canada in 1977, but go home regularly to visit my brothers, all in Derbyshire. Cannot name any of the hills in the pictures, but I am sure I have been on those roads.
Yes, i'm sure that you will have.
First photo: Looking west toward Hope Valley. Hathersage is down in the bottom of the valley.
Second photo is from the same spot but shows Stanage Edge.
The third one is perhaps the most obvious one, as it is Mam Tor (the hill in the foreground). I was parked up at the very top of Winnats Pass. I could see there we a lot of people standing on the top of it, but they or not visible in the photo.
The last photo is looking back from Mam Tor into Edale, or more specifically, Barber Booth.

1977 was about the time I got my first motorbike. That feels like a long time ago! 😊

Hehe....Yes, where there's bumps, there's usually rain.
Fortunately for me, I live on the top of one. Feel sorry for the poor b#ggers down in the valleys all flooded out the other week. Nightmare.

Yeah had some flooding in Bingham, but nothing bad, well it was obviously biblical to those getting it
