Purchased a new 2015 R3 Touring. Everything was fine until I took it in for the 500 mile service. Since then, when I start it, the oil pressure light is delayed before goes out. Started as slight delay of few seconds, then longer. Now it is up to 2 minutes before it goes out. I now have 2500 miles on it and am afraid to ride it. I am going to take into dealer, but has anyone else had this issue? Doesn't matter if the engine is cold or hot, the oil pressure light has a delay before going off.

Aside from the light, any other symptoms of low oil pressure eg sound rough, run rough, louder than normal? If not, I'd suspect the connection to the low oil pressure switch at the back of the head more than anything inside the motor.

No other symptoms. Runs good. Just as quiet as always. Strange it started doing this after the 500 mile service. With is being under warranty, I really want dealer to look at it and document this as an issue in case it comes back later with some big problem.

You did check the oil level, I'm guessing!! If so I would think the dealer knocked something lose!! Well at least you know the they did more than change the oil!

My 15' R3T had a bad ops from new since replaced no problems. It seems that several 15's had similar issues.

Could you explain this further?
What's a "bad ops"?

My R3T had the same problem, was fixed by replacing the sender unit.

The sensor is about the size (and look) of a spark plug but much thinner, and fits in the rear of the engine.

MY SYMPTOMS:
Oil light stays on when first started (cold), after about a minute the light got out, then
Oil light works as it should (stays out) for quite a while (say for about a tank of fuel), then
Oil light turns on and off in seemingly random times for the remainder of the ride.
