Defective ECUs in 2014 and 2015 year models

Probably helps if we read the article.

The recall has been announced in nations like Australia, UK and Canada while the rest of the markets including the US are expected to receive information regarding the exercise in due course.

Thanks, Abe!
I missed that . . . :(

I would keep an eye on your oil level, and check your oil for a heavy fuel odor. I believe @Boog said his bike was in the shop for a fueling issue.

I pick Brahma up today (after the 5th annual Officer Down Memorial ride though) and will post a full detail of what my issue turns out to be. Bottom line, it is too gunked up on the outside of the stepper motors and throttle bodies causing them to stick open.

Good info. I wonder how the ECU would be replaced. I mean to say would it be a simple matter of unplugging the unit with a new one or replace the software on the old one. Just a bunch of kids down at the triumph dealer, like a lot of places. Sure hate to think about them getting in there.
Funny this came up. When I bought my Roadster in January last year, the dealer had to install a new ECU from another Roadster model on the floor (with permission from Triumph) before he could release the bike. My bike came fresh out of the crate with 0.0 miles. I did type my VIN on the recall site and it showed "no recall".

Leatal... Why did they replace your ECU on a new bike.
The dealer said something about the ECU having been recalled by Triumph. The other new 2014 Rocket on the floor was not effected by the recall, so the mechanic simply removed the ECU from it and put it in mine.
