Can anyone tell me if Dealer Tool still has any incompatibility problems with Windows 10 on a laptop. (its a new laptop with the latest microsoft updates). I have read it was troublesome to load a couple of years ago and worked best on Win. XP and Vista? Do you still need old drivers for it to run on Win. 10?
Thanks for any help & advice.

I've had plenty of trouble with it; I have a Lenovo laptop with Windows 10 and have tried their patches and only gotten it to work three times. I also loaded windows 7 (still have a copy laying around) and it was the same issue; maybe it's hardware related but not sure. I wanted it for the brake bleeding which I haven't done in a while but it's such a pain that it is more of a nuisance. Even the guy on YouTube has trouble getting it to work:

To clear codes and view other data like temperature and stuff, a generic OBDII reader will work; not sure what you're after but if you want to get technical, there is also the Lonelec cable paired with TuneEcu ( I have those too and it connects to the bike very easily).

Thanks for that. Brake bleeding is primarily what i am after.

I have been in contact with dealertool and they said the interface leads V2.5 & V2.6 will work if set up correctly but can give issues but the latest interface lead V 3.0 is ok and works ok with windows 10. I may give it a try knowing this. I will post results when i get it.

Wanted to come back and share; I emailed Dealertool over the issue I was having where my laptop wouldn't connect. I was over the warranty period but we still went through some checks; we determined the cable was probably bad. They did advise me of a newer cable (version 3.0) with updated drivers and software version 6.5; I bit the bullet and received it today. I installed it, quite seamlessly I must add, and it loaded and read the ECU on the first run. I went through all the screens and it worked fine; even bled the ABS. Given my experience, go with the version 3 cable and Dealertool 6.5. With both purchases I'm about $140 which is still much cheaper than going to the dealer; hope this helps you out.

Fantastic, thanks for the update. I have the version 3 cable but have not tried it yet. Great information.

Just an update. I have now purchased Dealer tool and have a version 3 cable and Dealer Tool 6.5. It loaded on a 2020 model windows 10 laptop (after i managed to get the compressed file unpacked) and it works ok on the bike. A 2014 Roadster. I accessed the ABS bleed program ok too which is the main reason i purchased it for.
