also why does the standard R3 have the rubbish looking / bad breathing cat delete and the roadster has a sensible looking / good one ....is it a fitment issue due abs ?

The earlier three pipe Rockets have this big CAT box under the bike. (Top of the photo)
The Roadster/Touring has this cross over pipe (Bottom of photo)



The Roadster and the Touring has the CATs in the Silencers.

And yes it was probably to do with the Roadster having the ABS.
Along with the newer styling of the Twin Silencers.
 
I really dont know what i bought but i know it was a very good buy off ebay this last summer...pipe work outstanding quality and a perfect symmetrical fit from the 2 cans...does anyone know what system it is? as ime baffled..

What brand is your paddock stand? I haven't seen one used on the Rocket before. I thought they were too big/heavy for one.

Looks like a Jardine system with shorty Silencers (not) fitted.
 
i would say Jardine headers (wrapped) and then at the junction it changes to something else....maybe they only had the headers and had to make something.
 
THATS my point Paul thats all unwanted garbage all you need is a nice free flowing good looking SLIP -ON for MAXIMUM performance

Just a generic Chinese jobbie mate,goes under the name of Scorpion..I knocked up a couple of spindle pins on my lathe (different OD size each side) and it suports the bike with no bother mate
