I have several quite boring videos of my Roadster with the Viking slip-on muffler set up if it helps you decide.
The Viking isn't boring..... it sounds great!
My video making skills are the boring bit and of course my riding style which makes watching Harlies go around corners look fast.

Do NOT rush in until you have read further and thought more about your whole bike upgrade and how and what you want. You will need to get it retuned after fitting CES or any improved header system or you will damage your motor. You need either a tune from HansO to load via the FREE TuneECU SYSTEM AND/OR VISIT A TUNER WITH A DYNO AND FIT A POWER Commander 5 or similar so it will likely be a 1-$2000 ON TOP OF THE EXHAUST SYSTEM (GOD I hate the caps button).

I went with the stock 1 7/8" collector outlet size and position so I could re-use the aftermarket collector and shortened mufflers in the first post in the thread. You could do the same but need to get rid of the stock collector and get one from Dave Platt or eBay here in Oz for about $350 if you want to re-use the Dave Platt mufflers you have which would work very well with the CES headers.

Note the much cleaner lines and flow of the black aftermarket one but even that has a sub-optimal split of gas flow with that 90 degree off take. The Viking Exhausts NZ version is MUCH better designed and made.

@Paul Bryant a member here who owns Viking Exhausts NZ and makes beautiful custom pipes and headers has a MUCH better made and designed collector as well for similar money check out his website and view his work posted on the forums here in numerous threads. Viking Exhaust : When only the best is good enough. You may even like his beautiful headers instead of the CES snakes. PB's work is top class and a grade above most commercial stuff.

Maybe you still have a Dave Platt collector fitted, a much better design than the black one above.

I had the expensive CES black ceramic coated heat shields ($250) made for my silver ceramic coated CES headers to match the look of my existing mufflers and shields.

Otherwise go with the single RHS muffler option from CES for an extra $650 to go with the $1350 2" or 2 1/4" outlet CES headers ceramic coated in you choice of colours polished silver/aluminium or black. The header tubes are all the same diameter regardless of outlet size where they meet the collector or rear muffler.

Read more threads and re-read the one I posted and the 5 similar threads below it to understand what your options and the results. With ALL options you need to improve your air induction flow by getting a RamAir or 3x K&N pods and ditching the under-seat air filter system and plenum etc.

These were mine ready for delivery.

And I simply removed my stock header and fitted to my existing aftermarket collector and mufflers that came with my bike and I have not been able to identify but they are very similar to Dave Platt's Outlaw system that is available from the UK on eBay.

Thanks everyone for the info, have just spent the best part of 30 mins on the phone to Trevor from CES asking all sorts of questions, he is really helpful.

I have had the Airbox upgrade to KN pods done already and will be looking at the Single Muffler option.. Obviously I will be taking the bike to a decent Mechanic to have it Tuned Properly once I decide which system to go with.

My Dave Platt Slip ons are still available to anyone who might want them, I really would prefer them to go to a good home instead of gathering dust in my shed

No thank you. Been waiting a while for Paul to get around to building my complete exhaust system. I think it was back in April when I made the first 600.00 dollar Payment. Still waiting but I can deal with that. Looking at all that it is just wrong. Have a 2015 Rocket X and ride the hell out of it. Really wanted a quality Exhaust system and after much research and studying kind of figured Paul has all of his **** in one sock. Will get back to you all when I install the black ceramic Exhaust system on the X.
