That depends on how serious the meaning of the word "serious" is. . .
 
Very nice read. And like said, it probably won't be long before a car tire company makes a tire that's certified for a motorcycle. I still have a hard time understanding why a car tire store can not sell a motorcycle tire, and visa versa. And the huge mark up on motorcycle tires is a rip off, for sure. I had a CT on my 2013 Roadster, (Raptor) but just couldn't get used to the un-easy feeling on cornering. I switched the wheel and tire to my soon to be drag race low rider Rocket, designed for straights only. Now on the 2013, I have an Avon Cobra on the front, and a Bridgstone on the rear. And on my 05, I have a pair of Avons, that cost me right at $500 for the pair. Ridiculous! BTW, I like the Avon/Bridgstone combo better.
