Cobra fitted on back this afternoon so all set to go on the 25th. I already have one on the front which has done 6,000km and probably only 50% worn. see pic

Got 4,800kms (3,000mls) out of the Metz. Cost last year was $415 fitted - or around 9c a km (14c a mile). What's that I hear? DS around 0.5c / mile. Compelling for sure, but not a clincher. Cobra cost $425 fitted. Will be interesting to see how it goes, baring in mind the Metz wasn't doing too bad until I removed secondaries and installed GiPro.

You could still make out the tread on the Metz when I left home this pm. It was completely smooth in the middle by the time I got to the shop 12km away .

Sorry Hans, but logistics will prevent me from getting there on the 25th. I'm out to a mate's 50th birthday the night of the 24th and have have an early commitment in Sydney on 26th. My days of heading out at 5am for 10 or so hours of riding when I'll undoubtedly be the worse for wear are behind me.......no need to tell me I'm a wus

I wouldn't call you a wus mate I half expected that it might have been to early for you to come all the way down in the early hour not mention the Roo's that time of day, maybe I get to meet you another day if you happen to be down this way, or have you heard about the Tassie Salvo
