Darkside R3T - Yokohama Avid Envigor 205/60R16?

stripes how many miles did u have on the tire when u was coming to maggie valley

I too would like to see what that Yoko looks like. I could probably find a picture on the web somewhere, but I'm lazy. hehe ;)

That's it. Will try to get a pic of it on the bike but it's barely noticeable with the Touring's low rear fender. Not one of the 4 riders who park with me at work noticed it.

Thats a good thing that it wasn't noticed easily, it must have a nicely rounded shoulder. Tires with a very flat foot print and sharp right angle shoulders make me think that they would be more difficult to maneuver. I like the radical look from the sharply flat car tires but I'm worried they might be harder to get used to.
That Yoko looks nicely rounded, I'll add that to my list of possibilities when the Metz comes off.

Point of information - any car tire fitted to our bikes will compromise the handling and steering making it more difficult (add'l effort and countersteer required/less responsive to rider input) to maneuver than when fitted with a motorcycle tire. Don't let appearances delude you, Hellfire. If you push hard in the twisties or just like to regularly power out of turns in a aggressively and in a low lean, you will ride well up onto a CT's unreinforced sidewall.

I just took this excellent, high quality CT off my Rocket after 6700 miles PROXES T1R | Toyo Tires and returned to the Metz, because riding a CT on this bike, is neither a smart nor a safe thing to do, IMO. Prior to my Darkside experience with the R3 I ran approx 25,000 happy and trouble free (cuz you couldn't ride on the sidewall due to a lesser max lean angle) miles on my VTXs shod with car tires,

There's no assurance that you'll have a mishap or tire failure, but the risk of doing so is real and I chose not to make my riding any riskier than it need be and already is. Just my choice, others certainly will disagree...;) You may find the compromises acceptable in spite of the added risks.

geezzz Phil...give it up. Not everyone shares your experience. Nor had any one had an accident due to a c/t. The same can't be said for the Metz.

The dude is on an R3T, ie Touring. Maybe that's a key that he is a TOURING rider and not a peg dragger like yourself.
