YOUR nuts dont ride if you cant afford the correct tires that fit your safety rims its not about finding the cheapest tire you can put on the bike . SAFETY FIRST

Don't be a d!ck and I won't be nuts. What I can afford and what I choose to spend my money on is up to me. You are the one who said spend the extra 40$ for a tire. So put up or shut up. I've been riding on a CT for over 15 years. I have never had a problem. I know all the warnings and choose to go my own way. Maybe you shouldn't ride if you can't have an original thought once in a while.
 
SO you cant spend the money for a tire that fits the SAFETY rim or you wont spend the bucks or you just want to do whatever you want and thats your choice so have a ball but rember it only takes 1 blowout to get in a nasty accident and thats a big issue for riders that consider SAFTEY first SO you are aware of the risk and dont care thats ok as long as you dont harm anyone else in the process such as a passenger who is unaware of the equipment on your bike and the danger
 
I would like to see evidence of even one blowout or accident caused by a car tire on a motorcycle. I would think a car tire would meet or exceed any specs for a motorcycle tire. If there have been any ill effects other than some peoples fear, where are they?
 
Car tires do not fit the Motorcycle Saftey RIMS correctly cycle tires lock on the rim to prevent a deflated tire from coming off the rim lock and causing a catastrophic crash in only takes one flat tire at speed . Ive had many flat tires so its not something to ignore
