Dacey the 2011R3T and the Squid.

So update for the bike and I.
I shipped the bike on 11 December, I flew back to Norfolk on the 15th.
Bike due to be delivered on 29th ( date agreed on by shipper)
While in TN visiting home shipper tried to deliver bike Christmas day.
The actual guy with the truck doesn't speak English well. So explaining nobody is home your 4 days early wasn't working out so hot. Office lady for driver super cool realized they had wrong date (19th they thought they where late) has my bike put up in their warehouse but delivery is going to be after the first of the year. :(

Now I am also still waiting on my tags / title from the dealer. Fml It's 70 deg in Norfolk and I can't ride.

Look at it this way, it will soon be cold, wet and nasty in Norh-fik so having the bike inside just keeps you from getting out for only a day or so (possibly)

Just remember that you are now in Nohr-fik and no matter how much they say they like sailors, don't believe them!!

Enjoy your tour, there is a lot to do on that side of the US.

San Diego would have been a nice escape, esp from Norfolk. After my first tour out of A school was a CVA homeported in Norfolk I never went back. I headed for the West Coast and stayed there. (Moffett Field and San Diego).

well COntacted shipper and asked when bike was coming home. found out that the Office lady was under the impression it had already been delivered. so they are saying today some time. also the dealer i bought my bike from shut down the motorcycle sales dept and was also under the impression my tags and registraion where in my hands. FML. as long as the bank got the title i should be ok. if not i may be flying back to SD to handle this mess.

I got Dacey from the shipper just a bit ago. Bank doesn't have title. DMV in Cali says registration under old owner. But they gave me a way to petition for title and registration after 50 days have elapsed. Still nothing from dealer.

What a pain shipmate. I did 21 years in the yaught club and always handled the bikes via a trailer behind a truck; never trusted the shippers. and luckily never had to deal with the title issues you have now. Good luck!

well took the wife out for her first ride on a Motorcycle too funny. wished i filmed it so much i set up a helmet cam and mic. here's the test video.

This sums up my feelings about Norfolk. I know some like it, I am not one of them. Hope all of your troubles are soon behind you so you can get riding.
