Why would one install a tire the wrong direction?? Is this on the R3 in the middle with wide front end??

Yes, but on the other two as well. If you're mounting a tyre designed for the rear onto the front the arrow needs to be pointing backwards because rear tyres are designed to have most their the stress caused by acceleration, if you put it on the front the shearing force will be from braking, stressing the tyre in the opposite direction. ;)

I don't know how directionally biased the tread pattern is, but if the rain is so heavy you're nearing aquaplaning you really don't want to be playing out on a supercharged Rocket. It will try to kill you, don't ask me how I know. :eek:
