Cruise Control - asking about Kaoko throttle lock

Cruise control is a stretch…more like a throttle lock.
I had one on mine and didn’t use it very often. It will help to give your right hand a short break for a stretch but if you hit an uphill, you’ll start slowing down and for a downhill, you’ll speed up. It is purely a mechanical device and does not control at all.

Yeh I get that. Like you said Im after something that will give the right hand a stretch without spending a fortune.
Was hoping someone has used it. Interested in the fit and operation.

Pretty easy to fit…you turn it to engage and it holds the throttle…it disengages when you close the throttle.
It allows for operating the throttle to adjust if you need to open or back off a bit. It helps in that the bike doesn’t suddenly slow down when you take your hand off the throttle…so you can take a sip of your beer.

I too am thinking of getting something after riding 280kms before getting gas. Right hand was a bit sore. On the long boring straights it would be great.

I have had mine for a long time.
I love mine easy to use and easy to install. Work good on long straights just snug the wheel and twist grip for increase or decrease i turn off when stopping for lights. If i gorget it usually revs when I shift.
In case of emergency i tested it by pulling in clutch the clutch and it rev to 5000 not a problem if u should get into problem.

I have had the Kaoko throttle lock and the Atlas throttle lock. I liked the Atlas a little better. With the Kaoko I found myself constantly turning and looking for the exact tension trying to find the sweet spot. I went out and bought the Atlas and actually had both on my 14 Rocket at the same time (you know, in case one failed on a long trip). I used the Atlas from then on out but kept the Kaoko on the Rocket but didn't use it. Both will work but the Atlas was much easier for me. Just push down to lock and up to release (if I remember correctly) Both will work but to me the Atlas was easier.
