I just replaced the toaster box crossover under my "16 roadster with a Dave Platt crossover pipe. Fitted easily and properly but I noticed increased decel pop-maybe not more but more noticeable without the baffle effect of the stock crossover?
I rode about 500KM on Saturday and noticed a slight weeping above each of the three manifolds at the motor. Not underneath or on the sides but on the fins on the engine casing above the manifold where each is attached to the engine. Not wet but wet looking.
Not sure why its there or if its connected to the decel pop. Bike is running great though.
Ideas and remedy?

That's pretty normal when you remove such a cork as the cat box. If the tune you have pretty good for the most part, you can use TuneECU to extract it....and bump up the fuel a bit, like 6 to 8% in the F1 table. In my experience if you edit that table, the edit will be passed to F2 and F3 automagically, but even if not, taking that step eliminated popping on my bike. Reinstall the tune after making the edit but keep an unedited copy. Confer with Dave Platt too, he may have specific suggestions that are even better.

The "sweating" ( best description) at the top of the manifolds where they meet the motor related to this? Never noticed it before. Or is it a gasket/ torque bolts properly thing?

May I suggest re-torqueing the header to head bolts. They do come loose regularly. I re-torque mine a few times a year. And they usually need it.

Yes, do retorque the header bolts. I should probably check mine, though I haven't seen them sweat.
