:?: I want cruise conntrol on my 05 r3 se. Is adding the audiovox ccs100 the only real option. also should I use a vacuum pump or just a chamber to store vacuum????

It has its own vac pump built in so all you need is a storage tank.

If you are somewhat adept mechanically, you can try out the Dakota Digital electronic system (no vacuum) and document how it's done for the rest of us less gifted.

Thanks for the info on vacuum pump. I also have a HD Fatboy, if I like the R3 with Audiovox ccs100, I will prob install same on the HD. Maybe I should look at the Dakota digital for the HD. What would work best on the HD, it's a 2005 Fatboy with FI. thanks

I just put the Break Away system on my 08' R3T. It was $200... Really easy to install, and works great.

INSTALLED THE AUDIOVOXCSS100 LAST WEEK ON MY O5 RS SE. RODE 100 MILES COULDN'T FIND A HILL THAT CAUSES THIS THING TO KICK OUT. TESTED FROM 35 MPH TO 80 MPH ALL FEATURES SEEM TO WORK AS ADVERSTISED. I USED THE RECOMENDED VACUUM TANK, PLACED IT BEHIND THE TRANNY WHERE THE CAT BOX WOULD BE. NO HEAT PROBLEMS YET.. I LOVE IT... :lol:

I have had the CCS100 on mine for a couple of months with a vac can made of PVC pipe. Have not had a single problem, easy install, I removed my air box for the triple K&Ns so the can location was a no brainer. You cant beat a $100.00 electronic cruise control.
